My mother was my inspiration - she was a trainer, owning her own business around this same time-frame in her life. This gave me the confidence to be able to go into this industry, and the passion to help my clients meet their own goals.
I love helping clients realize their potential – whether it’s to pick things up and put them down, touch their toes, or hit a personal milestone in their marathon training.
My focus and passion is to help people get stronger – lifting weights and improving overall strength has so many health benefits:
weight loss, bone density improvement,
overall improved posture, core strength, etc.
It all starts with building your strength & stability.
A Self-Described “Fitness Junkie”
For me, fitness is the #1 thing - it’s what makes me happy, it gives me purpose. Lifting weights really is my hobby and my sport, and I’ve been fortunate enough to also make it my profession. I’m always interested in the possibilities for growth and improvement, and it’s what makes me excited to come into the gym every day.
I love setting that example, both for my son and my clients!
I started training at Boston Sports Club – it gave me wonderful exposure to working with so many different clients and body types. I found that working for smaller boutique training studios - both in downtown Boston and the Wakefield area - allowed me to hone my focus and love of strength training and the benefits it can provide for my clients, and this lead me to open UGO Fitness & Health in 2021.
The one thing that I’ve learned from working out with clients at these different locations (and especially while we were all remote during the pandemic), is that the most important thing is that your health and fitness is always with you.
It goes where “U GO”.
So, when you’re out of town for work, we can work remotely. When you’re in town, we work together to help you understand your form, alignment and support that you can then take with you in all of your endeavers.
